GoFundMe Call to Action
In a small town, where dreams are often whispered rather than shouted, Coach Vincent Bingham has always stood as a beacon of hope and inspiration. Despite his physical disabilities, which severely limit his mobility and travel, Coach Bingham has dedicated his life to nurturing young athletes, helping them to achieve greatness both on and off the field. Today, we have the opportunity to give back to a man who has given so much, and we need your help.
Coach Bingham discovered Mason Meinershagen, a talented young pole vaulter, during the summer when she was just an 8th grader. With a keen eye for potential and a heart full of dedication, he began to work with Mason, nurturing her talent and instilling in her the confidence to reach for the stars. Under his guidance, Mason flourished, earning a scholarship to the University of Kansas, where she became an NCAA Division 1 All-American as a freshman.
Mason's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and her hard work and determination have led her to qualify for the Olympic Trials. On Father's Day, Mason called Coach Bingham, who has been in and out of the hospital on a regular basis over the last few years to share the incredible news, a moment that left them both overwhelmed with joy and pride. For Coach Bingham, who has always seen Mason as more than just an athlete but as a daughter he never had, this news was the culmination of years of dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering belief.
However, the dream of witnessing Mason compete at the Olympic Trials is slipping away from Coach Bingham due to financial constraints, medical treatment and challenges related to mobility. With the trials just around the corner, airline tickets and lodging are in high demand, causing prices to soar. Coach Bingham's physical disabilities mean he requires wheelchairs and electric scooters for mobility, making it impossible for him to save money by flying into other airports and driving. He also needs to be able to schedule and attend dialysis while he is away from home. The cost of attending the trials is beyond his limited financial resources, but we can change that.
We are seeking to raise $4000 to cover the costs of airfare, lodging, and necessary mobility aids for Coach Bingham. This is more than just a trip; it's a chance for him to see his dream come true, to be there for Mason as she takes the biggest leap of her career. It's a way to honor the countless hours of coaching, the endless encouragement, and the love he has poured into his athletes.
Your donation, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference. It will not only allow Coach Bingham to attend the Olympic Trials but will also be a testament to the power of community and the impact of a coach who never gave up, despite the odds and physical disabilities. Let's come together and ensure that Coach Bingham can be there to cheer on Mason, to witness the fruits of his labor, and to experience a moment of pure joy and fulfillment.
Please join us in making this dream a reality. Donate today and share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can show Coach Bingham that his years of dedication and love have not gone unnoticed and that we stand behind him, just as he has always stood behind his athletes.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
