Help Coach E & Mrs. Lisa get a new diesel engine!
Many of you know Coach E. and Mrs. Lisa and how much they've done for others over the years in our amazing community as educators! Both were educators for many years in Nassau county! Many have had the privilege of being coached by Coach E! Whether you were a student, wrestler, or football player at FBHS, you know his heart and intensity, were off the charts!!! He was like a father figure, friend and coach to so many of us! Beside him at all times is Mrs. Lisa, his amazing wife! She was always there to keep our wrestling boards up to date, and so much more! Coach E. has been retired for a few years now, and Mrs. Lisa retires next week, on June 8th, after many years as a speech therapist in the Nassau county school district! They were all ready to sail away in their Nauti Bus, and enjoy their retirement together, like they have earned! However, they have encountered a BIG set back! Most of you know they've been working hard to convert their bus into a motorhome for about a year and a half! Even Mrs Lisa's dad helped them fix it up before he passed away last year. Unfortunately, they've had catastrophic failure, as the diesel engine unexpectedly broke and has to be replaced! The story is below! LET'S STEP IT UP AND HELP OUR NASSAU COUNTY EDUCATORS OUT, so they can get out and enjoy their retirement!!! Every dollar helps! If you're blessed, be a blessing!
This is an extremely hard post to write so bear with me as I muddle through. We’ve had a big setback with NautiBus. You may have noticed that we were recently looking for a diesel mechanic. We were led to someone who is an expert with the bus’ engine and hoped he would make sure she was road trip worthy. Unfortunately, NautiBus can’t travel. She needs a new engine for anything more than short drives and, at some point in the near future, she is likely to experience catastrophic failure. To fix her would cost much more than she’s worth.
So now our plans are changing. We’re still going to live on NautiBus, but she’ll have to be a stationary tiny home and not a traveling one.
Mike and I still want to to follow our dream of traveling, we just need a little time to figure out how. We’re still excited about our new life of owning less while living more. We’re still excited about my retirement and being able to spend more time together. We’re also a lot heartbroken. It’s all going to be ok. Our future is going to be filled with loads of adventure. For now though, we’re just really sad.
