Below is what Mrs. Erb asked me to edit the story with:
On August 26, around 5 p.m., my husband called saying he didn’t feel right after stopping for gas on his way home. His condition worsened, and he didn’t think he could drive. I left work and called 911. The ambulance arrived quickly and found his blood pressure dangerously high, over 200.
He was rushed to Baylor, Scott & White in Grapevine, where a CT scan revealed a massive brain hemorrhage in the corpus callosum. Doctors performed an emergency craniectomy to relieve pressure on his brain, followed by the insertion of an external drain to manage fluid and monitor pressure.
We’ve now been in the ICU for 12 days. Frank has faced complications, including pneumonia and high blood sugar, and is currently in deep sedation to control his blood pressure and prevent further issues.
Frank, 51, is an active, healthy man who coaches at Keller Middle School, works out daily, and had a good recent health check. This situation came out of nowhere, and we are praying for a miracle.
He’s known as Pops to his granddaughter and is a beloved father, stepdad, coach, and husband. Please join us in praying for his recovery.
