Help Coach Liz Strike Out Cancer
Donation protected
For those of us whose daughters have the privilege of playing softball for Coach Liz, her influence has forever changed the trajectory of all of our lives. Her knowledge of the game, unwavering enthusiasm and passion for life have not only made our daughters better athletes, but made us all a family.
In Mid August, our amazingly strong, fierce Coach went to the hospital for severe back pain. While there, she received the shocking news that the medical staff had found a large mass near her hip and ultimately received the devastating diagnosis that it was cancerous. After a battery of tests and multiple visits to the hospital, Coach Liz was diagnosed with Stage IV Esophageal Cancer.
Not one to ever shy away from a challenge, Coach Liz is fighting this horrible diagnosis with everything she's got! She continues to manage our team during treatments and comes to practices when she's able. She's even got a megaphone to make sure the girls can hear her while they're on the field!
While Coach Liz fights her battle, we're asking her softball family and community to rally to fight the fight as well, the only way we can. Coach Liz has an amazing husband, a daughter away at school, and two fabulous high-energy boys at home that need to focus on getting Mom better. Our goal is to ease their minds by assisting in covering their daily life expenses; gas, groceries, copays, etc. Please consider giving whatever you can, as well as sharing our story anywhere you can!
We thank you for your support and appreciate your help in spreading the word!
Thank you!
