Help Cody Overcome This Tragedy

Hello everyone,

We are reaching out today to humbly ask for your support and generosity for our beloved family member, Cody Danielle Castillo, Cody is the 18-year-old son of Gely Flores and Brother to Ismeal, Isela, and Damian

On Friday, January 11 Cody was involved in a life-altering car accident. He is still in a coma and with multiple injuries in the UNM Hospital Trauma Intensive Care Unit.

As a family, we are devastated by this tragic event and are rallying together to provide care and support to Cody, Gely and Cody’s siblings, during this difficult time They have been providing constant love and support for Cody, staying 24-hour shifts at the hospital every single day since the accident.

Unfortunately, the accident has resulted in substantial medical expenses, including multiple surgeries and a long-term stay in the hospital. Cody will inevitably require long-term, extensive rehabilitation and specialized treatments as well. These unforeseen costs will place an overwhelming burden on Cody’s mom , making it incredibly challenging to provide the comprehensive care and support cody needs right now.

We are humbly reaching out to our extended family, friends, and compassionate community members to help alleviate some of the financial strain they will be facing. Unfortunately, Gely a single mother and doesn’t have the benefit of an employer's support of paid time off or sick leave, As a family, we have created this GoFundMe campaign to provide a platform where anyone who wishes to lend a helping hand can contribute. Your generous donations will directly assist in covering the medical bills, ongoing therapies, and any additional expenses related to Cody recovery.
