Help Cody Pierson with his Recovery!

Wednesday June 1st, our dear friend Cody Pierson was in a tragic near fatal car accident on his way home on. He suffered life threatening injuries and has undergone two surgeries so far.

 

Cody broke his neck, causing paralysis from the neck down. He also broke his back in multiple

places. Cody is in Trauma ICU and unable to breathe on his own at this time.

 

Cody is a fighter and needs all the prayers and support he can get to pull through. He is a single dad and cares for his mom. Cody loves his daughter, family and friends with every fiber of his being. Thankfully his daughter is in a safe place and being cared for. His mom has been by his side everyday since the accident. She believes in miracles. She is asking everyone to keep praying for a miracle for her son!

 

Cody has been like a brother to many of us for years and an uncle to our kids. He has been there for us in the past and he needs us to be there for him now. He is going to need emotional and financial support as we navigate through the next steps of his recovery. Initially this fundraiser is to help with some medical costs, monthly bills and support for his immediate family. Anything you can donate will directly support Cody and his immediate family.

 

The medical bills and rehabilitation will substantially be far greater than this fundraiser. I am hoping to generate financial support for him right now, in order to keep up with his current bills and any immediate needs that they may have.

 

It is a miracle that Cody survived the accident. I will update this page as he makes progress and information about his current condition becomes available. Thank you for your support and prayers!!!

For those of you who have donated and do not know me, my name is Ruthie Newell. Cody was my friend and family. He grew up across the street from my husband. They have been friends for almost 30years and were like brothers. Cody was loved like an uncle by our kids and we spent most big holidays together as a family. He was our family. I set up this GoFundMe to try and ease the burden for his family. Thankfully because of our generous donors, they won’t have to worry about finances for the time being. 

The money raised will be withdrawn via bank transfer and it will be given to Roydine, Cody’s mom. The donations will help pay for cremation, trust, celebration of life ceremonies, house expenses, groceries and any other immediate need of the family during this time.
