Help Cody Rebuild After a Betrayal & Loss of Job.

Hello, I'm Cody, and I'm reaching out for your support in a challenging time in my life. In January, my world was turned upside down when I discovered that my fiancé of 5+ years which has been living with me since 2019, had been cheating on me. What followed was a legal battle filled with false claims and accusations, all aimed at taking away my apartment and possessions. While she eventually dropped the court case due to a lack of evidence, I still lost my apartment during the process because the lease renewal date fell within that period.
After the court case, I moved in with my mother temporarily in her living room while waiting to start a new job I had secured. With my new job, I was able to get a new apartment, but here's where the real struggle began. My ex-fiancé and I had a loan together, and I co-signed for it. She was supposed to make the monthly payments, but she abruptly stopped paying when I moved into my new apartment, and her new partner prevents her from contributing to it. To protect my credit score, I've been forced to cover the loan payments on my own since March. I do plan to take her to court once this loan is paid off to have her pay me back the entirety of the loan that I had to pay on her behalf.
With my income stretched thin by these loan payments, I've had to rely on family help to put food on my table and keep up with bills. However, my financial situation has reached a breaking point. I've been searching for additional jobs, even considering part-time work, but it's been challenging to find something that fits with my full-time job schedule.
That's why I'm turning to GoFundMe, with a goal of raising $2,000. This amount will help me cover the loan payments and put groceries in my kitchen over the next few months. The loan itself requires $242 per month, and there's still over $7,000 left to pay. Any contributions beyond the initial goal will be put towards paying off this loan faster and addressing the other debts that my ex-fiancé left me with.
I understand that these are difficult times for everyone, and I don't expect miracles, but any help, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in my life. Your support will not only relieve the financial burden but also provide me with the opportunity to rebuild and move forward. Thank you for considering a donation and for being a part of my journey to regain control of my life.
