Help Colby Nuckles Attend the FFA WLC!

Hi, my name is Colby Nuckles. I'm a student at Tennessee Tech University studying Agricultural Education, and a dedicated member and Student Advisor of the Dobyns-Bennett FFA chapter. I joined FFA during my junior year of high school, and this is my fourth year as an active member.

Over the years, I've taken on various leadership roles, including Chapter Sentinel and Reporter, and currently serve as the Chapter's Student Advisor. Last year, I had the honor of being a member of the 2023 National FFA Band, and although I ran for Tennessee FFA State Officer this year and didn't secure a position, I am determined to run again next year.

I am passionate about agriculture and education, and my ultimate goal is to become a high school agricultural educator and FFA Advisor. I am eager to attend the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) in Washington DC from June 25-29 to help achieve this. This conference will significantly enhance my leadership skills and better prepare me for my future Tennessee FFA State Officer candidacy.

The WLC is not just an opportunity for personal growth but also a chance to bring back valuable knowledge and skills to my community. I aim to become an effective leader and push my FFA chapter to better serve our local community in Kingsport, Tennessee. The FFA organization is deeply rooted in community service, and I am excited to continue this tradition by applying what I learn at the WLC.To make this dream a reality, I seek to raise $1,400 to cover the expenses, including travel, food, and registration costs. I am not just asking for donations; I am also willing to work for it. I offer services such as lawn work, mulching, planting, and other tasks you might need help with.
