Help Colin Esquibel Overcome Mounting Medical Bills

Hey Everyone, Richie Schley, Freeride Pioneer here.

You may have noticed something missing from our SoCal trails and World Cup events recently. Your friend and mine Colin Esquibel has been laid up with some serious medical issues, which is why you haven’t seen him around.

He had an emergency abdominal resection and intestinal repair in June after returning from Europe. While he was having surgery, they found he has kidney cancer and needs to have his kidney and attached tumors out at the end of October. As you know the out of pocket costs for covered and uncovered medical in the USA is staggering and he could use some help offsetting the costs of two major surgeries in 3 months, as well as post op care for tumor management and case workers.

Colin and I meet during his time at Crankbrothers and became friends. Years later, he pulled me into the TRP family and we had a lot of fun testing and developing there future product.

I recently spent some time with Colin and his cheery bubbly nature was not at all how we all know him. Honestly his spirit is broken for all of the physical and financial strain he is under.

I have never been part of a GoFundMe before, but I saw first hand how damaging it is to be in this situation, from our recent hangout.

Any help you can offer, would be greatly appreciate from him. Hopefully we will see that jolly guy running around MTB events sooner then later.
