Help Colleen (Coke) Smith Cummings Beat Cancer!

This February 2023, Colleen (Coke) Smith Cummings was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma cancer of the right lung. Coke has worked in Boone, Iowa, for most of her life and now works in Ames, Iowa, at Iowa State University full-time.

 For the past 17 years, Coke has dedicated her life to raising and supporting her granddaughter, Kennedi. Coke had raised Kennedi alone until she met the love of her life Kevin Cummings.

 Kevin and Coke married on July 19th, 2019; however, on April 8th, 2022, Coke received life-shattering news that her husband, Kevin Cummings, had been killed on the job.

Coke will soon be having surgery in hopes of removing the mass from her right lung. However, while receiving treatment and recovering from surgery, Coke will be without an income until she can return to work at Iowa State University. Any funds raised will be used to ease the financial hardships caused by Coke's ongoing fight to beat cancer. Please share this fundraiser with your friends and family.
