Help Pebbles Recover After Devastating House Fire

We're writing this on behalf of our mother, Colleen Pebbles Gilbert who recently lost everything in a devastating house fire, this past Thursday, June 15th 2023. It's hard to put into words the despair and heartbreak Pebbles has experienced after losing everything in a house fire. Although she has had a tough few years filled with medical issues and family loss, she most recently found sancturary in purchasing a home for herself out in the community of Murillo, but it was all taken away in an instant. Everything from photo albums, to furniture, clothing and personal belongings - all of it was destroyed. Losing everything in the fire was already traumatizing, but to know that her feline companion Rusty perished in the flames is an added layer of heartbreak. Rusty was not just a pet, but also was a family member and best friend. The love and companionship that this cat brought to her life was immeasurable, and it has been an enormous loss for her to come to terms with. Through your support, we hope to provide her with some peace of mind during these hard times. It's been a struggle for her to come to terms with the loss, but she knows that she needs to keep moving forward. She needs help to get back on her feet, to find a new place to live and to replace the essentials that were taken away.
