Help Collette with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer bills

If you know Collette Markert (formerly Collette Moore) you know she is an absolute angel. Always taking care of those around her, including her beautiful children Madison and Braxton, and never worrying about herself. This incredible woman has been through so much in the last two years including losing her mom to an excruciating battle with cancer in December of 2020. Earlier this week, she received the terrible news that she has a brain tumor. Collette is a single mom, and while she has insurance, the deductibles and costs associated with rehabilitation and taking care of herself and her family after leaving the hospital will be costly. We are hoping to come together as a community to support her, in the same selfless way she has supported all of us, during her time of need.
After returning from a work conference in Cabo San Lucas on March 12th, Collette immediately began to have severe headaches/migraines. It got so bad, that on Tuesday, March 15th, she was taken to the ER by her co-worker. They evaluated her, gave her a migraine cocktail, and even after requesting CT scans, the doctor sent her home, commenting that the tests were "expensive." That migraine medication provided no relief and Collette continued to suffer through terrible headaches and migraines for the remainder of the week/weekend.
Upon returning to work on Monday, March 21st, her headache became so severe that her co-workers made her go back to the ER. This time she insisted on a CT scan, and that's where her fears were validated. There was a walnut-sized mass on the front right side of her brain just behind her eye. Only surgery will confirm if it's a benign or malignant tumor.
Collette is undergoing invasive brain surgery to hopefully remove the tumor on Wednesday, March 23rd. As of now, we don't know the full extent of what the future recovery/treatment will entail. We are hopeful that the tumor will be benign and this surgery will be the extent of the treatments needed, but even then she will have a long recovery ahead and it will no doubt be costly.
We are hoping to help her raise around $50,000 in donations to help with the upcoming expenses that will be associated with any deductibles, unexpected costs for rehabilitation, and for additional expenses that might be incurred to take of herself and her children after she returns home. We will continue to provide updates on Collette's recovery through this page. Any amount you can donate will be incredibly appreciated by Collette and her children.
