Help Colonial TSA Attend the National Conference!

My name is Caitlin Dougherty, and I am the chapter president of the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School chapter of the Technology Student Association (TSA). TSA is an international organization that provides its members with the opportunity to establish leadership opportunities and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) skills through 80+ team and individual events across two levels, along with officer teams on the chapter, regional, state, and national levels. There are over a quarter of a million TSA members nationally and over 12,000 in PA alone, making TSA a large-scale organization. Currently, Colonial TSA (both Colonial Middle School and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School) is in its 18th year. Every year, both our high school and middle school chapters have had great success in moving on to each level of competitive events and producing a series of officers on each level. Because of this, Colonial TSA is a highly recognized and distinguished chapter throughout the nation. The Pennsylvania state conference, located in Champion, PA, resulted in great success on the middle and high school levels for Colonial TSA. Please refer to this document to observe Colonial Middle School and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School's accomplishments, where we had 40 top 10 finishes, with 16 being in the top three. 33 of our students have qualified for the national conference in Dallas, Texas, from June 26-30th, and will be brought by two advisors, Mr. and Mrs. Rickert. In addition to this, our chapter has two current state officers and one national officer. Each level only has 6-8 officers, making this a tremendous success. Unfortunately, due to the rise in prices after the COVID-19 pandemic, the national conference is far out of our budget to attend without added support. To ease the financial burden and show off our skills on the national level and continue to represent the Colonial School District, we are reaching out to find contributions from willing donors.
