Help Columbia Gorge Humane Society Recover

The mission of Columbia Gorge Humane Society is to provide safe, loving and humane care for homeless or unwanted dogs and cats while working to find permanent homes for each.

On July 1st, 2024 our Facebook account was hacked. Hackers were using our page to solicit money for animals not in our care. We reported this to Facebook the same day. On July 5th they restored our account, but did not give us the necessary privileges to remove the hackers. The hackers have now completely locked us out and FB customer service has closed the ticket without resolving the issue.

We are solely funded by community donations and fundraising. We use Facebook to promote our available animals, promote our fundraisers, community programs, food supply and general outreach. We have been rendered helpless. This loss is effecting our ability to maintain operations and care for the some 60 animals that are counting on us.

To make matters worse, our can and bottles donations are down significantly. The cans and bottles program is the centerpiece of our organization and we rely heavily on your donations.
