Help Community Fruit Grow

My name is Matthew, and I'm the founder of find out farms and our Community Fruit program.
Community Fruit is an urban gleaning project that I started in Sacramento, California because I saw fruit going to waste while neighbors were going hungry. With your help, we're going to grow this program and help to take steps toward solving both of these problems at the same time.
Since starting Community Fruit, it has been very clear that our region needs a robust urban gleaning program. In 2021 we were able to divert well over 10,000lbs of fruit from being wasted. All of this fruit went to people in our community that appreciated increased access to fresh, healthy food. In 2022, we are aiming to double the impact of the program.
Right now we are able to get just a portion of the fruit that is going to waste in backyards in our region. I believe with the right resources we could harvest an incredibly large amount of fruit annually. To accomplish this, we are creating a non-profit entity. Along with the cost of filing paperwork, hosting a webpage, and all the other glamorous aspects of this endeavor, we are about to enter citrus season which is the busiest time of year for this work and also requires a bit of resources.
So I'm humbly asking you for your help! Please help Community Fruit to grow and thrive so that we can help the Sacramento region to keep their fruit out of the wastebin and continue to increase access to fresh, healthy food in our community.
This work means so much to me and I sincerely appreciate your support.
