Help Tica and Adri recover after house fire

6/4 update: Tica and Adri will be unable to live in their house for at least 3-6 months. Any funds you can provide will help ensure they can find safe housing and handle out of pocket costs not covered by insurance! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

Help is needed for two LGBTQ+ Baltimore community members!

On Friday 6/2, my PPM colleague Tica, his wife Adri, and their two dogs Taco and Dutchess, survived a fire that started in the house next door, filling their home with smoke. Further damage occurred as the firefighting team worked to battle the flames.

We are fundraising to:

1. Ensure Tica and Adri can pay their mortgage while they are displaced.

2. Secure stable and dog-friendly temporary housing while their home is repaired, cleaned, and deemed suitable for living.

3. Pay for cleaning and repairs to any salvageable personal items.

4. Food and other needs that may come up.

Many of you are aware of the vital support Tica and Adri provide to the community. Tica is also a vital member of the Planned Parenthood of Maryland team, and coordinates care specifically for our trans and nonbinary community members. Tica goes above and beyond every day to make sure our community can survive, access health care, and get connected to our fantastic community partners.

We want to make sure they can successfully navigate this crisis and return some of the support they provide to the community every day.
