Help Complete the Costello Family with IVF

Michael and I have been struggling to build our family for several years. In July 2014, we were excited to become pregnant; however, within 2 weeks the excitement was taken away. After several ultrasounds, scans and lab work the Doctor’s determined I was having a miscarriage. I was sent from the local ER to Langley AFB, VA where Michael and I were stationed. The military Doctor stated she was not able to perform a surgery due to her separating the USAF. The Doctor instead gave me an injection of Methotrexate to terminate the pregnancy.

Fast forward to August 16th, we moved to Florida and I woke up in extreme pain, having a hard time sit, lay down or walk. Mike and my Mother took me to the ER where the Doctors said I was having an ectopic pregnancy. After 4 days in the hospital, more ultrasounds, scans and lab work my only option was to have my right fallopian tube removed. After the surgery was completed the surgery I asked if we were able to have try for more kids later. I was told yes and that my left tube was good.

During 2019, we decided to go to a Reproductive Specialist in New Jersey to see why we were not able to conceive after five years. Tested results disclosed my left fallopian tube is blocked. The Doctor recommended in vitro fertilization (IVF). With Michael leaving for a remote tour in Koreas for a year it was not the best timing, but we had answers.

We are now back in Florida where Michael is stationed, and ready to start this IVF journey. Our Insurance will only cover diagnostic procedures. The total cost for one round of IVF is $18,000. This has been a mentally and physically trying time, and now financially. Any funding received will go towards procedures and medications not covered by our insurance Tricare.
