Help us upgrade our transmission gear to stay on air and to continue to bring you the best specialist music and arts programming in the region, [and streaming to the world].

ArtSound FM is a community radio station in Canberra ACT since 1983, broadcasting on 92.7FM and 90.3 FM, DAB+ and streaming to the World on ARTSOUND.FM. We produce and broadcast specialist music programs, and we also work with and support the local arts and music community.

It is expensive to provide quality radio (although we are all volunteers - no paid staff at all), but we have managed to raise enough funds every year for the past forty. However, we are now in the position where we need to replace vital broadcasting equipment, and that will take money we don’t currently have.

In 2005 station volunteers built our studio consoles (pictured above) which have served us well. But the world in 2024 is so much more complex, and now we will soon have to buy the technology we need to re-equip our studios and aging transmitter at an estimated cost of just under $200K.

Without these upgrades ArtSound will be both in-console-able, and un-transmit-able.

We will seek grants for part of these costs, but we need to find the rest. So, we are asking you to invest in our future and contribute what you can to help. It is your chance to make an impression on the arts in Australia’s Capital City.
