Hello, we are the Spivey Family and we are raising money for the Connor James Spivey Memorial Scholarship to benefit London High School graduates.
Connor James Spivey, beloved son and promising young man, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 25th, 2024 at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the tender age of 18. Born February 14, 2006 (our Valentine’s baby) in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Connor was the cherished son of father Gregory Spivey and stepmother Lisa Spivey, mother Stefanie Fanger and stepfather Bob Fanger, and the loving brother of Jonathan Edward Fanger.
Connor was our miracle baby who was born 11 weeks premature and weighed only 2 1/2 pounds. He didn't let starting a little thing like that stop him from thriving and growing into a strong full grown man.
Connor was in his senior year at London High School, and an expected 2024 graduate. He balanced his academic pursuits with a love for golf (2 time regional qualifier), culinary arts, international traveller, and barbecuing for the London High School Barbecue Team. The foodie in him sparked creativity in the kitchen as he explored new flavors bringing warmth and happiness to many. His love of traveling abroad further fueled his love of tasting traditional (and often exotic) local cuisine on his many travels through Europe and Japan. As a founding member of the London High School Barbecue Team, Connor spent his time honing and perfecting his skills that led him successfully through many regional, state, and national competitions including an individual 4th place win at the 2023 BBQ Nationals (Pork Chop) and 2024 Skills USA State Participant for his knife skills.
The purpose of the scholarship is to continue the post secondary educational goals of deserving London High School graduates.
