We invite you to join us in honoring the remarkable legacy of Howard "Howie" Schubert, a beloved figure in scouting for over 50 years. Howie dedicated his life to the values of scouting, serving as Scoutmaster and President of the Conron Camp Foundation, the sponsor of Troop 255 Queens, NY.

Howie's journey in scouting began at a young age, as he embraced the principles of leadership and service through Cub Pack 255. Eventually, he assumed roles as Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, and later, Scoutmaster of Troop 255. His dedication to scouting was unwavering, earning him accolades such as the Silver Beaver Award in 2011 and fostering the growth of countless Eagle Scouts.

Beyond the Boy Scouts, Howie's vision extended to creating inclusive opportunities for all youth, forming Conron Girl Scout Troops 4-236, 4-525, 4-625, 4-725, and 4-772. His legacy lives on through the achievements of these troops, with many earning the prestigious Gold Award.

As we celebrate Howie's life and contributions, we aim to ensure that future scouts can experience the transformative power of scouting he cherished.
