Help contribute to Dave's recovery

We are the family of Dave Cobb and we are writing this GoFundMe page to help support him and his wife Vita during an uncertain and financially draining time. Dave was taken to the emergency room on May 13th, 2023 with a severe infection that was being caused by a bowel obstruction, the doctors had to do emergency surgery May 16th, removing a portion of his colon and temporarily installing a colostomy bag. On May 23rd, Dave was released from the hospital, only to be readmitted on May 25th, due to a high output fistula in his small bowel. He was then released again on May 27th only to be readmitted on May 29th due to extreme pain from the fistula. Unable to eat or drink at all due to surgery complications on May 30th they put in a picc line and started liquid nutrition. Before being released on June 21st they determined Dave would need to heal for 12 weeks before returning for surgery. This past afternoon, July 1st he was readmitted again. Awaiting further information. Unfortunately all of this has forced Vita out of work to care for Dave. Due to their location and Dave's constant need for care it's hard to for Vita to get out of the house to even get basic necessities. Their bills are piling up as well as the medical supply expenses. The family is asking for donations to help support Dave's care. Dave has a very long road to recovery ahead of him, and the financial strain this has placed upon them both has caused copious amounts of stress.
