Royal Poetical Starz (formerly known as Brandon Yoder or Mr. Poetical before undergoing a name change) was brutally shot and killed on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in broad daylight in Miami Gardens, Florida. A heinous crime that has no place in a civilized society.

Royal Poetical Starz identified herself as a trans-woman. She left a lasting impression on everyone that she met. Her infectious smile and bigger than life personality brightened every room that she walked into. She was an ambitious and talented singer that composed her music. She is described by many as a person that would go out of her way to help others. 

She enriched many lives and will be deeply missed. Unfortunately, we will never get to hear her sing again or become the Star that she was destined to be.

Friends and family of this young black, trans-woman is grieving a life cut short because of a violent crime that she did not deserve. These crimes continue to happen in the trans community every day. Your support is key in raising awareness about these violent crimes.
