Update on Corey Brann

We wanted to share an update on Corey’s journey. The doctors have shared that it may take up to three months for his back to heal from the extensive spinal surgery, but Corey is already showing incredible determination.

He’s actively participating in physical therapy and doing an amazing job. Since balance comes from the lower half of the body, Corey is working hard to develop his core strength to regain stability and independence.

We’re still waiting on a confirmed date for his transition to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, but in true Corey fashion, he’s keeping a positive and upbeat attitude throughout this challenging time.

On Sunday, November 10th, my nephew, Corey Brann, was injured in a logging accident, severing his spinal cord and leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. As a fully employed man, he worked with his father on days off in the family business.

His road to recovery is going to be a long, difficult journey, and he is being moved to a rehabilitation facility in Massachusetts to learn how to recover. Funds are needed in order for family to visit and help keep his spirits up. In addition, his home will need to be made handicap accessible. All of these upgrades will be costly, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
