Help Cori Sue Survive Harvey
Donation protected
My name is Debbie Skolaski and I'm from Houston, Texas. I am Cori Sue's grandmother and her daddy is my son. Please help my granddaughter Cori Sue and her family who have been devasted by Hurricane Harvey (Houston, Texas). Cori Sue suffers from a rare terminal disease, Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). MLD is a genetic disorder that causes demyelination of the white matter in the brain. Cori requires 24 hour medical care because she is totally paralyzed from the severity of her disease. Her house has been totally destroyed by the massive flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Her family was able to get her and her sister to safety from the flooding, but were only able to save what they could carry out, taking only life sustaining medical equipment and leaving the rest.
This family has lost everything. Look at the devastation to their house. Nothing is salvageable. They probably will need to demolish and rebuild their home, if they are allowed to rebuild at all. Cori will need her lost special medical equipment and bed to be replaced. Her family needs clothing, beds, furniture, etc.
We're trying to raise enough money to help them meet insurance deductibles and a down payment on rebuilding a new home. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time their home has experienced some storm damage in the past 2 years. They have no equity in their home because they had to cash it out to make repairs the last time storm damage occurred in the 2016 Tax Day floods.
Please help them by donating to this fund. All donations will be given directly to Cori and her family. If you would like to help by donating in kind, please privately contact me.
