Help Corrie Get the Surgery She Needs!
Donation protected
From an early age, Corrie was a free spirit, an old soul, a compassionate human and a friend to the friendless. Corrie always has embraced life to the fullest. It began with her saving injured birds and squirrels and even owls, helping family & friends financially, physically and spiritually. If she saw a need, she figured out a way to help. As a child, she would rather eat a head of lettuce than a candy bar and was the first vegetarian our Armenian family ever experienced. She would make extra peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and on the way to school, she would drop off each day to the homeless who lived by the underpasses downtown. To this day, each winter she stocks up on umbrellas, which she passes out to those without one on the streets during rainstorms. A heart of gold, always giving, never asking for help even if she needs it.
Well now she does. Corrie has been diagnosed with Diastasis Recti which means her large abdominal muscles have separated. Since April, she has struggled with nausea, loss of appetite, chronic back pain, loss of sleep and it is also affecting her emotionally causing concern for her mental health. The surgery will repair and relieve the symptoms, which will allow her to once again live her life to the fullest.
She has been trying for months to get her insurance to pay for this necessary surgery she needs and has had nothing but roadblocks. She has been persistent, diligent and when she thinks it is handled, they call and tell her it's still not approved. She needs a specialty doctor to do the surgery and has been referred and refused by many due to insurance reasons. She has worked with insurance advocates, filed grievances with her insurance and has still gotten nowhere. Right now, her main doctor is trying his best to find her a surgeon who will perform the surgery, because he feels it is medically necessary, but it looks like it’s going to be completely out of pocket.
So now she is holding sales in her store to raise funds for her surgery, and I am going out on a limb to see if I can help raise some funds this way. If you can give, we would appreciate any amount. If you can't, please consider sharing this post and we would appreciate your prayers. If you know others who may want to help, please feel free to share with them.
It's our turn to help our Corrie. God bless you today for your love and support.
