Help Cory As She Battles Cancer

Hi, my name is Beth and I’m fundraising for a very dear friend who is in the biggest fight of her life.

I met her years ago, when my daughter began dancing at her studio. She is well known for her commitment in excellence to teaching both children and adults in dance and other arts genres. She has spent 15+ years professionally offering beautiful performances to our area, as well as countless outreach performances offered as a local ministry to many in our community.

After noticing a couple lumps in the spring and scheduling a mammogram, a biopsy was later conducted and on August 1st, 2022 Cory was diagnosed with Stage 3 HER2+ cancer present in both the breast and lymph nodes. Everything moved swiftly because of the aggressive and rare nature of this particular cancer (it makes up around 15% of breast cancers). She had a port put in and chemo was supposed to begin Sept 1st, but scans revealed another unrelated cancer was also present. She had a 3rd biopsy done on Sept 6th and we expect results in 2 days. Chemo will begin Friday, September 9th, 2022.

As a Christian, wife, and mom to 2 sweet girls, Cory is holding strong to her faith to get her through this battle. Her family and friends are all honored to stand by her side and we are believing for healing and victory over this disease! This was not genetic in nature and doesn’t run in her family, so it was such a massive surprise, as she otherwise is incredibly healthy.

We are only a few weeks in and after 3 MRIs, an Echocardiogram, 3 biopsies, CT scan, Bone scan, and Port surgery, the bills are already around $50,000 prior to chemo starting. Cory does not currently have health insurance or emergency aid, but they are seeking help.
