From Courtney, Juniper, aka Juno's Mom:
Juniper was admitted today to Columbus a few weeks back to get a feeding tube put in her little nose. She stopped eating solids a few months ago, and even with the help of lots of therapists, she’s been a stubborn little bean, and keeps losing weight unfortunately.
Juniper was admitted today to Columbus a few weeks back to get a feeding tube put in her little nose. She stopped eating solids a few months ago, and even with the help of lots of therapists, she’s been a stubborn little bean, and keeps losing weight unfortunately.
So when we got the feeding tube, we were placed on a list for an intensive feeding program at Nationwide that had a waitlist a year and a half long.
Her doctor moved her up on the list so we were due to start the first week of MAY this year, which was amazing!
We got the call that they had a spot open up for NEXT WEEK
So on Sunday, Juniper and Cou will head up to Columbus to start an 8 WEEK program to basically reteach her how to eat. We have a nutritionist, a dietician, a psychiatrist, a social worker, and a feeding specialist on our team to get her snackin’ and get this silly tube OUT!
It’s outpatient, but obviously that is a HEFTY drive, so we are lucky enough to be staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Dad unfortunately cannot come with us, so it’ll be a tough few weeks, but this little girl is my superhero, and together we will rock this!!
So keep her (and me?!) in your thoughts that everything goes smoothly❤️❤️
