This fundraiser is created on behalf of Courtney by the Hobgood family.
Right before Christmas 2020, Courtney Hobgood, 34 years old, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
With this diagnosis, she entered a vortex of seemingly never ending tests, quick decisions and lots and lots of unimaginable bills........
It was determined that Courtney has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma grade 3- HR2 positive which has unfortunately made it to a lymph node. It was further determined that her treatment must start ASAP. Her treatment plan currently includes Taxol/Carboplatin chemotherapy every three weeks through May 2021, then surgery (likely a double mastectomy), then radiation treatment followed by continued HR2 treatment through 2021.
Courtney was on the verge of starting the life she had always dreamed of -- getting married one day and having a family of her own. Because of Covid, her significant other has been unable to be here with her. He is British and has thus far been barred from entering the U.S. due to Covid restrictions putting marriage plans on hold for now. We remain hopeful that as the Covid situation improves he will one day be able to make it here to be with her as she fights the fight of her life.
From the time Courtney was little she was always kind-hearted. She has grown into a compassionate and generous woman, always willing to help no matter what the cost to her. In the short span of her young life, Courtney has never hesitated to help, from loaning out her car, even her home when friends, family and strangers have been in need. Now she urgently needs your help. We humbly reach out to ask for your help for financial assistance for Courtney. Please help us lift the burden of constant financial worry off of this sweet girl as she battles cancer.
