Help Courtney Heal with a New Friend
Donation protected
Healing a young girls broken heart and bringing back her joy.
Last week Courtney Martin, a beautiful young girl, was in the process of moving her best friend and horse companion to a different boarding facility. On the way there, on the I25, there was a bad accident and her horse ended up tragically dying. When Courtney got to the accident, her best friend had already passed. As you can imagine she was devastated.
Piggy was a Mustang that Courtney had trained up from a baby. Piggy was not trusting of many humans, but she really trusted Courtney. They were true friends and adventure buddies. If you know anything about young girls and their horses - it’s a pretty unbreakable bond. Courtney is passionate about horses, caring for them, training them and creating relationship with them. It’s a big part of her life. We know a piece of her heart is really hurting and grieving this loss.
Courtney has been working at the Western Valley Ranch and with Champions Equestrian training horses with Cynda Brock. There is a young gelding there called Romeo that she loves, and he is for sale. We thought that if we can raise enough money to buy this horse, along with vet checks, transportation etc., we can gift him to Courtney, and help heal the hole that Piggy left so quickly. This would give her another horse to care for, love, train and have adventures with.
Any donations big or small will help so we can facilitate this gift.
Thank you all so much and please keep her in your prayers.
