Help Courtney recover with family by her side!

Hi, my name is Emilly. I am fundraising for my niece Courtney Mueller. She is a bright 14-year-old girl with a whole world ahead of her. She is funny, sweet, and smart. Everyone who meets her sees the light and spunk in her eyes.

Unfortunately, she accidentally severely burnt herself. She has third degree burns to 90% of her body. She is currently in critical condition and in a medically induced coma at SickKids hospital in Toronto, where she is being treated for her burns. She has had 4 surgeries to date and is scheduled to have 3 more just this week. We are told she will be hospitalized for at least 4 to 6 months, and must undergo more therapies and surgeries, including countless skin grafts to repair her injuries.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help offset her parents’ lost income while they take unpaid leave to be by Courtney’s side, the cost of living in Toronto, and the cost of supporting her four siblings during this difficult time. Money will also be kept for physiotherapy, counselling, and other therapies to treat both Courtney’s physical burns and the emotional and mental trauma caused by this injury, which she will need for many years to come.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated by her family, whose only wish is to not lose their home while they stay by Courtney’s side as she recovers. We are in desperate need of help.
