Born on February 28, 1946 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of the late Irma Catherine Musser. She earned an associate’s Degree in general education through IL Central College and began pursuing a nursing education before Multiple Sclerosis forced her to drop the effort. She was a volunteer at Heart House in (Women’s Shelter) in Eureka, IL; a member of the MS Society –IL Chapter. She worked as an Audio/Visual director at Eureka College and was instrumental in cataloguing and preserving the many Reagan artifacts received by the school while Ronald Reagan was president. She loved photography and learned to develop her own photos. She taught herself to play guitar and wrote music; established the Basset Hound Kennel called Kawiliwig Kennel with 2 champion show dogs (Megan and Eben). She was a member of New Haven Church and loved her church family very much.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Prichard was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Sue Gillespie Ward and the man who raised her as his own child, Frank Gillespie and granddaughter, Rachel Ann.

Mrs. Prichard is survived by her children, Fred and Erin Schirer, Keith and Michelle Greeson, John and Mariza Egli, Cathy Simmons, Stephanie Jarrett; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, her church family and other loving relatives.

Unfortunately, as is the case with many chronically ill persons, Barbara died without life insurance or assets to assist with her end of life expenses. Care has been taken to assure all expenses were kept to a minimum, however, a shortfall remains and her family is asking for your most gracious assistance in covering what has become an unexpected expense for them.
