Help Cover Donald Atene Jr.'s Funeral Costs

My name is Donique Ateen, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of my Dad, Donald Atene Jr. My family has taken on a substantial financial burden for the funeral expenses for my Dad. He was a great person and his smile would light up the room. We will miss him forever. His funeral expenses are more than we can afford and even with donations from a few organizations, there are still more expenses to pay. We appreciate and thank you for any and every donation, anything helps.

Donald Atene Jr. was born at Monument Valley Hospital on June 17th, 1964 at 05:05 in the morning and weighed 06 lbs, 12 oz. He loved cooking and hanging out with me, his daughter. We used to drive around everywhere in his 4x4 Chevy Truck, taking the back roads and enjoying life together while making the best memories. He was a great mechanic and also worked as a landscaper at The View Hotel. He had a passion for helping out people in his community by fixing their vehicles and working on different projects around their homes. I have learned so much from my dad and we have so many memories that I will treasure forever.

Around 6 years ago my dad was in a car accident and stayed at South Davis Community Hospital in the long term Respiratory Care Facility. He was later transferred to Western Peaks Specialty Hospital as his condition worsened and he needed more intensive care. He was then transferred to the University of Utah Hospital, where he stayed for 2 weeks. On Friday October 4th, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit after he had some scary medical complications. He sadly passed away on October 5th, 2024 at 4:36 in the morning. We stood around his bed, and I held his hands until I felt his very last pulse.
