Help Cover Felix’s Urinary Tract Bills

I’m Javier Z. and I’m reaching out because I have no other recourse to bring my precious cat Felix home, happy and healthy, before I get into why Felix needs help I want to provide some backstory.

Felix is a cute and timid, male chocolate tabby, I’ve always been a dog person and have always had dogs until Felix came into my life. When Felix stepped in, me and my girlfriend Alexis were living in a basement of my stepfathers and couldn’t sleep one cold night in March 2021, we had been arguing about who-knows-what when we suddenly heard a cat meowing outside our window. A cute little cat announced himself to us seeking solace from the bitter cold, all we had on hand was cans of tuna which he wholeheartedly ate, my girlfriend has always wanted a cat and had an orange one when she was a kid and was elated to meet this new feline friend. We very much wanted to invite him in but my stepfather has always shown a disinterest in animals, we bid the cat farewell and good luck in his survival that night. Until the following day after I had came home from work to be surprised by him again at our doorstep, we gave him water and more food to help him out and he let us pet him, it was this second encounter when my stepfather noticed the cat on his property and I was surprised he took to him as well, he tried to offer him milk (and bread???) but like I surmised, he (initially) wouldn’t let us keep him. The chocolate tabby would come by often and let us all pet him, I’m sure it was his gentle nature that convinced my stepdad to let the cat stay with us, it was then that we happily gave him a bath, groomed his fur, gave him a home, and gave him a name; Felix, named after the classic 1920's cartoon cat.

Me and my girlfriend were so happy to start this new adventure raising a cat, this little feline brought us closer together and helped us out in so many ways, he’s always been there for us when we’re sad or stressed and now it’s my turn to be there for him.

On Nov.17th Felix started licking his genitals excessively and frequently going to his litter box, researching online revealed that these are telltale signs of urinary tract blockage/infection, and sure enough it’s what ails him, feline UTI’s is the number #1 cause of vet visits for cats across America, left untreated can cause his bladder to explode, fatally. The funding goal will help cover his medical bills and travel to-and-from the veterinarian.

Me and Alexis have only had Felix for 2 years and we’re not ready to say goodbye, please help us have our little boy for the holidays.
