Our loved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jayne, age 74 of Mount Clemens, passed away on Thursday morning at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township.
She was born on September 14, 1946 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Froberg) Nieman. On February 4, 1967, Jayne was united in marriage with Howard Harkness.
Jayne worked as a secretary at Mount Clemens General Hospital. She enjoyed cross stitching, solving puzzles and reading. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Sterling Heights. She loved her family with everything she had. Jayne was very bright spirited and cared very much for everyone. She was a regular at Houghton Lake Travel Park and she loved spending her summers there with her family.
Surviving is her husband, Howard and three sons, Howard Jr.(Cindy), David (Denise) and Jonathon (fiancé Carly); five grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachel, Zachary, Emma and Rebecca, siblings, Lynn (Charles) Ries and Sharon Crozier. Jayne was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua.
Visiting hours are on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions: 10 visitors at a time, face masks must be worn entire time (mouth and nose has to be covered). Food and drinks not permitted. Please limit your time of viewing to allow another guest to visit.
