Joe’s family is respectfully requesting donations to help cover
funeral costs so that his remains may be interred at the Massachusetts Nation Cemetery in Bourne, MA, alongside his wife Maureen, who preceded him in death.
Joe was a native of Landsford, PA, a first-generation American; he was proud to serve his country. He was also a skilled musician, playing multiple instruments, including the harmonica which he loved playing for his grandchildren.
He completed his military training at Fort Benning, GA. An infantryman attached to the 3rd Army Anti-aircraft Battalion
participating in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. After his service in Korea, Joe was posted to Camp Edwards in Bourne, MA. It was during his posting at Camp Edwards that he met and married Maureen. Joe and Maureen settled in Fairhaven, MA, and later moved to Centerville on Cape Cod.
During the final years of Joe’s life, his daughter and grandchildren provided his full-time care as Joe suffered from dementia and Parkinson’s disease. But unfortunately, they are without resources to provide for his funeral costs.
Joe’s family is humbly requesting donations so Joe may be interred according to his wishes at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
