Hi, my name is Rylee and this is being created to help my brother cover costs for travel expenses (as they live 9 hours away), cremation and a memorial service for his now late wife Wendy. He is a veteran and father of four lovely, crazy kids that we love dearly.
Years ago when AJ brought Wendy into our lives everything changed for all of us. Not only did she gift us four amazing bright and talented awesome kids, she was a light to me and many others. Knowing someone so creative, kind, thoughtful and so intelligent like her was an absolute blessing to our family. In my short time on this earth i’ve never met someone who has loved animals more than she did. It seemed like almost every month they had a new addition to their ever-growing family. The love she held for any living thing was beyond comprehensible to the average person. Just when you would think how could someone have so much love to give they must be tapped out, she was always right there tending to someone or something. Wendy had a passion for helping and supporting those around her because she knew how it felt to struggle with yourself on a daily basis. Like many others she was an advocate for mental health and aspired to shine light and love on such a dark topic that left so many distraught on their own. In the times she was supporting and helping others, she herself was also struggling deeply. That is what made her so driven to be the caring person she was. My brother helped her create a website to post articles that shed light on depression, anxiety, as well as many other mental illnesses and personally help others in their times of need when they felt they had nowhere else to turn or no one else to go to. No matter who you were or where you were from she was always more than happy to take those in that were experiencing the same awful intrusive thoughts and feelings as her. She had a love for all things bright and colorful. She was such a creative person and had never ending ideas and projects flowing. Everyday was always different sadly, while she struggled with Borderline Personality Disorder. Countless days and nights she continued to push and fight through it with the help of my brother and her friends and family. As time goes on with dealing with a mental illness that can be so detrimental as this one, things began to fade. It seemed continuous and everlasting. The feeling of constant drastic ups and downs can take an awful toll on someone as it did to her. I know in my heart and soul all that came to know and love her are thankful and beyond grateful for everyday she was with us and fought her own mind to be here. She is someone that once you met, you would never forget her and we never will.
