Help cover Ralphie's rehab and vet bills

Hey there! Those who know me, know I absolutely love my dog, Ralphie. He's the sweetest boy, an absolute goober, and in true husky fashion, stubborn. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and raised and trained him myself. It surprises everyone when I tell them he's 11 years old and I've done 0 training classes with him; my own family was surprised at how much I remembered from growing up around dog training as a kid.

Those same people also know, I'm not one to ask for help lightly. In fact, I loathe it, especially when I know I could have done better.

Unfortunately, with Ralphie's old age, comes more vet visits and bills. And I've been struggling to stay on top of them and ensure Ralphie gets the best care he deserves, due to a combination of increased pricing on everything and significant life changes. I knew he would be needing more vet care as he got older, unfortunately the timing and speed caught me completely by surprise. In my stupidity as well, I stopped his pet insurance several years ago, thinking I might as well just set the money aside for later. That didn't happen, and now even if I wanted to start it up again, his current concerns won't be covered at all.

To paint a picture; in 2024, I spent $6000 in vet visits and rehab appointments. Since January 1 2025, I've spent $3500. And there's still more bills to come between continued care to keep his arthritis from progressing, and a recently discovered lump we're monitoring as we cannot determine if it's cancerous or not yet; it's been discovered so recently and nothing has shown up confirming cancer, but there's hints it could be a very early development that we'll be reassessing in a few weeks to hopefully get a conclusive answer.

And this leads me to here. With everything that has happened this past year and is continuing to happen, not just with Ralphie but life in general, I'm struggling. I'm struggling hard financially. I am in desperate need of a little bit of breathing room. So, I created this gofundme to help cover the cost of Ralphie's vet bills so far this year, plus a little extra to hopefully cover another month or two as a starting point. It's a small dent in my overall, overwhelming situation, but it's all I feel comfortable asking for help with and this alone will be incredibly helpful for me.

I know things are rough for everyone, I know everyone is struggling. I don't expect everyone who sees this to help. But I was encouraged to put this out there on the off chance someone is able to help, even a little. Every bit helps at this point.
