Help Cover Tara Kay Hofmockel's Funeral Costs

I'm Jack, and I'm raising funds for my sister, Tara Kay Hofmockel. She died a week ago Monday morning at Northcrest Nursing & Rehab in Council Bluffs. Her funeral was this last Thursday at the cemetery in Glenwood, IA. Turns out, a simple graveside service, basic coffin, no bells or whistles, is $12K and change. Dad was on her constantly to get things set up in advance, but marching to her own drummer, she never did. No will, nothing. We do not have access to funds, anything, to cover the cost. We found $2,300 in cash that she had squirreled away in her room at NC when we cleaned it out last week; that went to Scott at Loess Hills Funeral Home (they handled the service) last week, 7 November 2024 (I see below that they won't let me enter a date in the past).

I hate that it comes to this, but I see no other option. We still owe around $10K. Anything would be helpful!
