Ted Roberts was admitted to Providence E.R. on June 27, 2024, with what we thought was just severe dehydration. Further testing revealed metastatic adenocarcinoma (cancer), which was later dicovered to be stage 4 and terminal. He was discharged a week later and advised to follow up with his doctors for further testing.
Unfortunately, he was readmitted two weeks later to Mobile Infirmary for severe dehydration. Further testing revealed kidney issues as well as a mass in the right atrium of the heart. On July 20, 2024 we were approached by the medical team (heart, kidney, internist and oncology specialist) with the worst possible news a family could receive. They informed us that there was nothing more they could do except ensure his comfort.
July 23, 2024 Ted was admitted to Crown Nursing Facility in Citronelle. Early morning hours on Saturday July 27, 2024 sadly one week later he succumbed to his illness and passed away. The family and myself was not ready to loose the patriarch of the Roberts clan.
We were ill-prepared for the medical and funeral expenses. We solicit your help and greatly appreciate your generosity.
