Help Create a Safe Haven for Missouri's Animals

Hi, as many of you who know me, you know I have been contemplating doing this for a couple of years now, but I tried to rely on myself to help support this cause. I have to admit that the need is far too great for just me alone and I have exhausted much of my own funds to help all of the poor animals in my area.

Since moving to Missouri, and this is not to discount all of the loving animal advocates, but to point out the injustice and abuse in this area toward all animals, from running over turtles as a sport, to killing deer just for the rack and leaving the meat in a ditch to rot, to horses being skin and bones and still being used to transport huge loads by buggy and trailers and once they can no longer perform, they are sold to slaughter, to the backyard breeders and local puppy mills. I could go on and on, but I would not stop writing. Again, not to discount the amazing animal lovers that exist in the area as well.

I am desperately seeking help from the public to help me raise funds to start a rescue and to assist the local pound as they have very limited resources and are at the max daily. Some of these poor babies have been in a cement enclosure, with minimal outdoor run space. It is far from ideal, but they are trying.

I am CRYING out to the public and anyone who is willing to help me offer a better living situation for animals in transition.

My goal is to create a safe and beautiful environment and a getaway for the pound pups and be an overflow for any local animals that need me.

There is such and URGENCY in this area in particular as there is no SPCA etc locally.
