Help create autism resources for schools, parks & hospitals!

Hi, my name is Veronica and I am the mom to a great little man named Dylan. Dylan was diagnosed with autism at 2.5 years old.
Dylan struggled with communication and sensory issues and when I tried to find resources to help him get through his everyday, I realized, the world is not very autism friendly. Especially for kids on the spectrum who can't communicate and have sensory troubles.
Every child deserves to feel included, understood, and supported. At Dylan's Roar, we’re on a mission to make this a reality for individuals with autism.
Our Goal:
We aim to raise $10,000 to create sensory-friendly, evidence-based resources that empower schools, parks, and hospitals to better support individuals with autism and their families.
How Your Support Helps:
Your contributions will allow us to create and distribute the following:
1) Sensory Care Kits: Sensory Care Kits aid by helping to soothe and calm an individual who might be in sensory overload. These kits include something to aid with the senses - sight, sound, feel, touch, taste. Kits will include fidget toys, weighted items such as a weighted plushy, noise cancelling headphones, sunglasses, and something to chew.
2) Sensory Paths: Sensory Paths are spaces for children to follow a series of movements that help them process information, reduce sensory-seeking behaviors, and develop motor skills. Our goal is to introduce these in schools so that students who need movement breaks have an opportunity to get their energy out. Our goal is to introduce these paths to schools.
3) Community Communication Boards: Community Communication Boards help people communicate with each other. Communication boards are a form of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) that can help people express themselves non-verbally. Many kids on the spectrum, who are non-verbal, might still be able to communicate using these visuals. Our goal is to create these boards and have them installed in parks and schools across the city.
