Sweet baby boy was Born Nov. 16th, 2019 with a rare disease known as SMARD-1. Children with type 1 typically don't survive beyond 2 years (See link below for more info)

Within the first few months of his life, he was placed on a permanent ventilator to support his lung function as well as being wheelchair bound due to muscular atrophy. On Nov. 16th 2022, miraculously his 3rd birthday, he was admitted to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. As of now, without sharing too many details, he is in ICU on life support/medically induced coma. An MRI will be performed soon to determine the level of brain activity.

About his parents/siblings....Matt and Kayla (Aunt & Uncle) selflessly took in their nephew shortly after he was born and have been his Mom and Dad ever since. ❤️ He has an older brother and sister who love him dearly. Matt and Kayla are also due with another baby boy on December 6th! They are off work currently to stay with their nephew in the hospital and with the new baby coming soon, will be on maternity leave. The holidays as well as their personal bills will be racking up and they are the most deserving people of the help.
