HELP CRICKET FIGHT LEUKEMIA

Our sweet little Cricket Rose was given the heartbreaking diagnosis of Leukemia on November 8th, only one month shy of her second birthday. Cricket has Down Syndrome and is immune compromised. Therefore, Cricket’s treatment plan is specific and intense. She will have six rounds of treatments, roughly equaling six months of living in her room at the hospital. The costs associated with this are beyond comprehension. With your compassionate donation, you can help to make Cricket’s recovery a reality.

Darling Cricket Rose, and her family need our help more than ever. Please help us to reach our initial goal of $50k. With medical bills growing, as little as $25 more will help. Your donation will aid in paying medical bills, childcare and everyday costs of a family of five; and we are grateful for your generosity.

To make matters more heartbreaking, Dominga lost her job due to corporate layoffs. For those who do not personally know the family, David is a dedicated firefighter… helping others each day, and without the flexibility in his annual income that he deserves, to take care of this immense responsibility.

Cricket has been so strong in her journey. She continues to fight and is being cared for by the dedicated medical staff at UVA’s Children's Hospital. Our dear little girl will be isolated in her hospital room for 30+ days since she will not be able to go home in between chemotherapy treatments. Cricket's parents Dominga and David will take turns staying at the hospital with her 24/7, while also juggling normalizing life for their two other beautiful girls, Wren Darling (5) and Poppy Clementine (7). Unfortunately, Wren and Poppy will not be able to hug, hold, or visit their sister, who they absolutely adore. The family will need additional childcare, help with meals… and as we all can imagine, the stress of financial implications from hospital bills remains overwhelming.
