HELP CRISTIANA FIGHT CANCER!!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Daniel and I'm fundraising to help my partner Cristiana Gaman, receive the life-saving treatment and operation that she urgently needs.
Cristiana started feeling unwell about three to four months ago, loosing weight and considerable ammount of blood during her periods. After we both had Covid-19 in October last year, she developed a peculiar symptom, bleeding twice every week. She called her GP in south-east London and they reasured us, that this is absolutely normal and it's a common cause in women who recover from Covid. We didn't think anything of it at the time and we figured doctors know better. One year passed and the bleeding became more agressive with each passing month, but it was as doctors said, nothing very concerning. Four months ago she started bleeding with massive blood clots, and that's when we started to worry, since the bleeding was continuous. I scheduled her for an appointment with the GP, they ran a check and said everything looks normal, I scheduled her with a specialist on a private clinic, which performed a ultrasound scan and the results came back normal. We had another appointment with Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London and she did another ultrasound scan which came back normal, this was done almost two months ago ( in June). We tried another private doctor on Harley Street in London, who said that this is a common thing for women past fourty years and that there is nothing to worry about.
But the bleeding didn't stop. It kept going, day in, day out. Eventually she became anemic and started taking iron supliments. We booked the first flight to Romania to have another opinion and maybe get a diagnose for her and two weeks ago after a consultation with a gynecologist, it hit us like a train. She has a 6 cm malign inoperable tumor on her uterus.
We had the diagnosed confirmed after the results of the biopsy came, two days ago.
Because the tumor is inoperable at this point she will have to undergo chimotherapy and radiotherapy which is quite expensive. We are still waiting for the results from CT scan, two RMN she has done yesterday and the mammography. We couldn't stay in the U.K anymore, since she needs to be surrounded by friends and familly and receive the support she needs to overcome this disease. And at this point I doubt that she will receive the care and treatment she needs if we stayed in London, since the NHS is still under severe strain after the pandemic.
She needs our help and your help to fight this disease.
We need to raise money for treatment and if the treatment works and the tumor reduces it's size, she will need to do a hysterectomy.
We have receipts of all the medical bills, but because we lived in London for the past four years and payed all our taxes there, we cannot benefit from the Romanian medical system.
Any funds raised will go directly to Cristiana, to help cover the treatment, follow-up consultations and if needed scans, x-rays and eventually operation, with any remainder to be used for her recovery from the operation.
I am fully aware of the current cost-of-living crisis, that is affecting us all. Please donate if only you can afford to, or just share this to raise awarness and spread the word!
Thank you for reading.
