Salve a tutt*,

ci rivolgiamo a voi in nome di Cristina, una donna straordinaria che ricopre i ruoli di madre, moglie e combattente instancabile.

Sin da giovane, a soli sedici anni, Cristina ha affrontato numerose sfide con coraggio e determinazione: è dovuta letteralmente fuggire da una famiglia violenta ed un’infanzia negata, trovando rifugio in una casa di missionarie.

A ventidue anni ha dovuto iniziare a lottare anche contro una grave depressione, che ha minato il desiderio suo ed il più grande di tutti: essere felici.

Nel 2002, dopo innumerevoli battaglie, un tragico errore l'ha costretta su una sedia a rotelle, cominciando ad affrontare anche la paraplegia.

Nonostante i suoi limiti fisici, Cristina non ha mai smesso di lottare, battendosi attivamente per i diritti suoi e di tutti i disabili, al fine di raggiungere l’obiettivo di vivere assieme ai suoi amati cari una vita “normale”.

La nostra famiglia è composta da Roberto, suo marito, che la ama incondizionatamente, dalle figlie Vanessa, Daniela e Simona, che sono la sua luce guida, e da piccoli animaletti, cani e gatti, che ci accompagnano ogni giorno.

Purtroppo, la maggior parte degli altri parenti ci ha abbandonati troppo presto, lasciandoci soli a sostenerci a vicenda.

Oggi Cristina non ha più una battaglia da affrontare, ma una guerra: un glioblastoma inoperabile al cervello.

A 53 anni, già provata dai problemi causati dalla paraplegia, si trova a combattere contro un nemico che la sta sopraffacendo rapidamente, sia fisicamente che mentalmente.

La sua priorità ora è assicurare la felicità delle sue figlie e del marito, che l'hanno sempre sostenuta in ogni sfida.

In questo momento difficile ci rivolgiamo a voi, la nostra famiglia allargata, per chiedere il vostro sostegno, e sapete perchè?

Perché siamo impreparati a questa guerra, sia psicologicamente che economicamente.

Le vostre preghiere e il vostro supporto finanziario, per quanto piccolo, ci aiuteranno a superare i giorni difficili che ci attendono.

I dottori hanno confermato che il tempo rimasto a Cristina è limitato, e il suo desiderio è quello di realizzare i suoi ultimi sogni per poter lasciare questo mondo serenamente, quando sarà il momento.

La sua vita, coraggiosa ma costellata di difficoltà, ci ha lasciato sommersi dai debiti a causa delle spese mediche pregresse. Per non pensare alle spese mediche che affronteremo in futuro, che dovranno garantire le cure migliori e mantenere una scintilla di speranza in questi tempi bui. Infine, quelle per far fronte al funerale, sperando che avvenga il più tardi possibile.

Ci troviamo quindi davanti a costi che superano di gran lunga il nostro reddito.

Vi chiediamo di aiutarci non solo con una donazione, ma anche con le vostre preghiere e condividendo la nostra storia, per farci sentire meno soli.

Hello everybody,

We address you on behalf of Cristina, an extraordinary woman who fulfills the roles of mother, wife and tireless fighter.

From a young age of only sixteen, Cristina faced numerous challenges with courage and determination: she literally had to run away from home from an abusive family and a denied childhood, finding refuge in a missionary home.

At the age of twenty-two, she also had to begin battling severe depression, which undermined her desire and the greatest of all: to be happy.

In 2002, after countless battles, a tragic mistake forced her into a wheelchair and she also began to cope with paraplegia.

Despite her physical limitations, Cristina has never stopped fighting, actively fighting for her and all disabled people's rights to achieve the goal of living together with her beloved ones a "normal" life.

Our family consists of Roberto, her husband, who loves her unconditionally; daughters Vanessa, Daniela and Simona, who are her guiding light; and little pets, dogs and cats, who accompany us every day.

Unfortunately, most of the other relatives left us too soon, leaving us alone to support each other.

Today Cristina no longer has a battle to face, but a war: an inoperable glioblastoma in her brain.

At fifty-three years old, already tired of problems caused by paraplegia, she is fighting an enemy that is rapidly overwhelming her, both physically and mentally.

Her priority now is to ensure the happiness of her daughters and husband, who have always supported her in every challenge.

At this difficult time we turn to you, our extended family, to ask for your support, and do you know why?

Because we are unprepared for this war, both psychologically and financially.

Your prayers and financial support, however small, will help us through the difficult days ahead.

Doctors have confirmed that Cristina's remaining time is limited, and her desire is to fulfill her last dreams so that she can leave this world peacefully when the time comes.

His courageous but hard-packed life has left us overwhelmed with debt due to past medical expenses. We will have to face further future medical expenses trying to maintain a spark of hope in these dark times, as well as those to pay for the funeral, hoping it happens as late as possible.

We are thus faced with costs that far exceed our income.
