Help Cristine Fight Long Covid (And Not Lose Her Home)

In January of 2020, our friend Cristine got covid and never recovered. Since then she has experienced a range of debilitating symptoms daily, from nausea, bone pain, migraine, dizziness, and over 100 other neurological and vascular symptoms. Through non-stop self-education and advocacy, Cristine has sought out care from nearly every specialist and therapy available, from antibiotics to acupuncture to craniosacral therapy and many, many more. She is a currently on a first name basis with the entire staff of UVM Medical Center.

Symptoms have waxed and waned over the last four years, but never stabilized until recently. Over the last six months, there was some steady improvement. However 44 days ago, a small amount of exercise triggered a migraine that hasn't let up. This has been a breaking point, after so many years of emotional, mental, and physical strain on Cristine and her family.

Cristine continues to be a tireless advocate for chronic and invisible illness. However, after working through pain for so long, it is time for her to take a leave of absence for an undetermined amount of time. This is a very scary and uncertain time for her and her family.

For those of you who know Cristine, you know that she is an incredibly loyal, caring, and thoughtful friend, who has essentially been providing free therapy to her clients for the last ten years. She loves unconditionally and gives so generously to her community. Even though it is awkward and hard to ask for help, this is our time and opportunity to show up for her.
