Help Cristy After Jason's Hit-and-Run

My name is Carol Bacon and my dear friend, Cristy McCain, lost her husband, Jason McCain, to a tragic hit and run accident March 18th

in Caldwell. Uncertain what the future holds for Cristy and with the outpouring of support from the community, we decided that a GoFundMe was the best option for her.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 7:03 P.M., there was a vehicle vs. bicycle collision which occurred on the westbound I-84 mile marker 26 off-ramp in Canyon County.

A bicyclist (Jason) was traveling eastbound on US20-26. A gray passenger car turning westbound onto US20-26 from the I-84 off-ramp struck the bicyclist, who was struck a second time by a 2013 Ram 2500 also turning westbound. The driver of the passenger car fled the scene. Jason, 55, died at the scene.

Jason was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was so kind and loving. Please consider sharing this fundraiser for his wife, Cristy, so that she doesn't have to worry about how to survive right now.
