Help Crystal and Jason with unforeseen expenses

Hi. My name is Renee and I’m trying to help raise money for my mom and step dad. Anyone who knows Crystal, knows that she is one of the strongest, most hardworking people out there. While the last few years have been incredibly difficult for her and her husband, Jason; the last six months to a year have been the worst. On top of the multiple hospitalizations Jason has had this year, Crystal suffered a heart attack back in August; leaving her out of work for a few weeks which has been detrimental to the single income household. While she is currently back at work, thriving and getting all the “Aunt Crystal” love from her fur babies, she’s having to travel multiple times a week between Georgetown and MUSC where Jason currently is. Last week, Jason had a leg amputated from mid-thigh down due to a recent diabetes diagnosis. He was discharged over the weekend but has since been taken back to MUSC for ongoing issues with his other leg. As one can imagine, this has put loads of stress on Crystal and as someone who has suffered from a recent heart attack, stress is the enemy.

Everyone who knows Crystal, knows that she won’t ask for help. If you see her, you won’t know about all of the stuff going on in her personal life because she puts on a brave face. However, I’m asking for help for her. Each of their medical bills have managed to rack up as well as ongoing household expenses not stopping simply because one is out of work. Jason has applied for disability multiple times, with doctors backing the application, only to be denied time and time again.
