Help CSL3 Make It to the Mid-Year Safely

If you don't know me, I'm longtime journalist and activist in San Francisco whose life was turned upside-down in 2024. The year nearly wiped me out (costly funeral, Ellis eviction, COVID infection, moving costs for new place, regular outlets cutting back on work), but since then, I've been living paycheck-to-paycheck and barely holding on.

Now, I don't even have that: one of my regular employers has me supervised by someone who's been callously trying to push me out (probably to replace me with AI or something). They're rejected ALL of my work for this month, meaning I won't get paid by them at all. On top of that, my check from another employer has yet to arrive.

I've sent out my CV everywhere and hope to get something solid soon, but I can't wait. I need something to carry me for at least two months while I try to restructure. The money I'm asking for will cover two months' rent, phone payments, and other expenses (including groceries not covered in my weekly trip to the food bank).

I purposefully tried not to ask for much, but I hope you know how much your help will mean to me. If you can't donate, I hope you'll at least share this far and wide to boost my signal and (hopefully) keep me from losing everything in a short amount of time.
