Help Csyan Raise Medical Funds for Chloe- UPDATED

Donation protected

UPDATE PLEASE READ:

Due to Chloe’s passing, the hospital has reduced her bill by 5K. Between the GFM , and the cashapp/Venmo I have enough to cover the final bill!! Thank you all so much for sharing and donating. We have received her ashes, paw print, and a piece of her fur to remember her by

Between losing and parent and a pet (that is and will always be family to me) within 2 months, this entire process has been overwhelming and still financially draining. I will be keeping the GFM up for the rest of the summer as a direct means of support while I work to build up the savings I worked hard to keep and grow but had to let go of due to these incidents.

All of the kind words and support I’ve received, both off and online, has really been a light for me during these dark times.

Even when it feels like the world is crashing and you’re losing your self and your people, love is still there and so is life
Words can’t describe how thankful I am for you all. Thank you all so so so so so much.

Love,
Csyan

Hello everyone,

My name is Csyan Russell, I’m 23 and I am asking for help to raise funds to help me pay off my dogs medical bills and to help me get out of the debt I ended up in trying to save my dogs life.

I’ve had my dog my teacup Yorkie, Sisi (a.k.a Chloe) for about 5 years. She’s been by my side since day 1 and she was my first and only baby. I would do anything for her. And I would do anything to see her again.

After several long walks where it seems like my dog couldn’t breathe and she was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea a few years ago. We were told that the disease is a progressive one and affects quality of life the older she gets. I’ve done my research and it’s a common disease that a lot of dogs can live with as long as they have medications to help them manage it.

Unfortunately on Friday, the 13th of May, my dog was admitted back to the Vet after she went for a short walk and had trouble breathing even days after.

Typically they leave her in an oxygen tank and give her medicine to calm her down. They did their usual thing but around 6PM, we got word that Chloe went into respiratory arrest and had to be resuscitated. I made my way to the vet to find my dog is really bad shape. She was unable to move on her own or breathe without an oxygen mask and her vitals were scarily low. The doctor hinted at putting my dog down but I refused. I believe that I should do anything to keep my dog alive. I mean, she was still alive from something that she’s bounced back from, why would I kill her now?

Fast forward to phone calls later and I was told that an animal hospital 30 mins away is willing to take my dog in and help her. Things were looking okay and I had called the Ambuvet (animal ambulance) to help me transfer my dog safely, because she can’t move without oxygen. They took 4 hours to show up. During those 4 hours my dog gave out again and she had to be resuscitated again. After that, they put a tube down her throat to get oxygen to her.  By the time the ambuvet came, she was in worse shape but still alive. After running several red lights it seemed possible that my dog would live. Everything pointed to her living and I was only hanging on the hope that she can live, I felt like she deserved everything to get that chance.

I waited until 230-3 AM to make the decision to leave my dog so that I can go home and get things together and come back. I said goodnight to my dog on the doctors table, kissed her little head and went home.

Around 6 AM, I got the call that my dog went into arrest again and didn’t make it.

The Ambuvet didn’t move forward unless I paid $145 , the Vet didn’t let me leave until I paid them $797.91 and the Hospital didn’t begin treatment until I paid them $7,205.05 upfront. I was left with no choice but to open up a credit card to pay for my dogs treatment—which has a $29.9% interest rate if I fail to pay it off within 6 months.

Between my fathers passing 2 months ago and losing my dog 2 months later, this amount of trauma and loss has been nothing but detrimental to my mental health, which I already struggle with and that affects my ability to do things that I want to and interact with my loved ones.

I am asking for assistance in raising $8k for my dogs hospital treatments. I am in no shape to raise this on my own between rent and extra payments and am asking for you guys to please spread this and boost awareness for my chance of moving forward past these dark times.

Thank you for your time,
Csyan Russell
